Hi Kristilynne, :)

I live in Australia so I'm sure I'll be able to help. {up} The most important thing with sending to a VV address is trying to get confirmation in advance that your letter will be passed on to the celebrity. Either check for previous successes for a venue (if it's a concert or something) or try to contact the function centre/movie production office via email to see if mail is being forwarded to the celebrities.

What type of venue are you planning on sending to? A concert (or another type that is only valid for a day or two?) or a theatre production/movie set (an venue that is valid for a longer?). For me, my letters typically take about a week to get overseas, occasionally quicker but usually about a week or so..

If you're sending to a venue that is only valid briefly then I would send it 2-3 weeks in advance and would write 'Please hold for Performers' shows on the xth of x month' or something like that. You don't want to send it so far in advance that the people at the venue RTS it because the performers aren't there or they lose your letter before the concert/show/appearance but you certainly don't want it arriving too late.

If you're sending to a theatre production or movie set that is valid for a number of weeks or more, I would send it about a week before production starts. This way, the celeb will difinitely already be there when your letter arrives.

Anyway, I hope this helps and if you need any more help, please feel free to post or just PM me. :)

Thank is not entirely true. While they are realitivly good with fan mail they are more of a hit or miss. I have written to about 10 artist playing there and only got about 3 replies.
