12 x 9 envelopes (or is it 9 x 12?)

Unread post by -46- »

I'm talking about the envelopes that are 12 inches tall and 9 inches wide. The ones with the two little prongs that you stick through the little circle, and spread each prong out over the circle to close the envelope.

Ok, my question is how many stamps do you need for them? I would be sending a one page LOR, a picture of the athlete on thick computer paper, and a folded SASE of the same size. I remember sending a LOR and no item or SASE a couple years ago with one stamp on the envelope and I got an autograph back about a month or two later. How many stamps would I need on both envelopes?

They can be pronounced either way. I typically put the smaller number ahead of the big one, so 9x12 - 8x10 - 5x7 - 3x5 - 4x6 ect. ect.

I always put two .44 cent stamps on my 9x12 SASE's and got them back just fine. and two on the mailing envelope is what I'd put as well. some will put three, but I never had a probelm with putting two on it. {up} and I live in Michigan too. {up}

A friendly tip.

On all my RETURN envelopes, I put my home address on the return and send section. So if the mail gets Marked, Stained or un-readable it will be sent to me one way or the other. This doesn't cover lost mail.

For example:
My Name
Address
CIty, State. Zip

My Name
Address
City, State. Zip
