Hey guys,
I am pretty new to this whole TTM thing. I have been collecting autographs in person for over 10 years. I recently found this site and have a list of people that I want to send to. I had a couple questions first before I start sending things out.
Does it make a difference if I type a letter versus hand write it?
My other question was what do you write in the letters? Can you post some sample letters that you send to people?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: TTM HELP
Hello and welcome to the TTM collecting world!
To answer your first question, yes it does make a difference whether you handwrite your letter versus type it. If you type it, it can be seen by celeb's as a format letter that you send to everyone by just making a a few alterations here and there, such as name, movies you enjoy of their's, etc. So handwrite it all the way, it seems more personal that way.
Also, when I write letters I usually address it with their full name and sometimes I say Mr. or Ms. depending on who it is. Then I just write about a page or two (front and back) about their work that I've seen, sometimes I ask a few questions (and sometimes if I'm lucky they answer those questions in their own little note!) and I usually end it asking for the autograph is a non pushy way. I usually state that I would understand if they are too busy to sign, but I would appreciate it if they did.
Also be sure to include either a SAE (Self Addressed Envelope) or a SASE (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope) with your LOR (Letter of Request) sending a SASE usually get's you a quicker result than sending a SAE or nothing at all but a LOR and some pictures.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask! I've been doing TTM for years and my sister was on this forum before me and collectively we've received well over 600 autographs TTM.
