Vanessa Redgrave Success!!

This should've been posted in the via venue feedback!!

About 2 weeks ago I sent a LOR, 2 photos and SASE to Vanessa via "Driving Miss Daisy" in London and today I received 1 photo back signed and personalised. It's a shame she signed it on the dark bit of the photo but I'm still really happy! Photos are below. 8)

It says "Dear Daniel Very Best Vanessa Redgrave". I think they're authentic. 8)

Wow, baffles my mind, I sent to her last year when she did this play in NY, and never got it back. :neutral: Maybe she did reply and it never reached me. :cry: But congrats on your success!! very nice!!

First of all: Congrats on your success! Nice picture, nice signature {up} :D

I wouldn't say that in general. She doesn't sign everything. Usually she only signs the first weeks when she films a new movie or plays on a theater. The problem is: If you're late - you will get nothing back.

Sometimes she includes a little note where she asks for a bit money for charity. In these case you will not receive an autograph as long as you do not pay.

To come to the point: Vanessa Redgrave is a very, very nice person and with a bit luck she will sign. I got her a few times ttm, vv and even in person (met her twice - one time in London, one time in New York). All I can say is: Your autographs are authentic (@ScottishDan + gghi18). But she is very old now (74 - almost 75) and is not able to sign all the things the fans send her.

She is a great actress and a great woman. Enjoy your success. {up} :D

Thanks for the info! :) It was most helpful! I heard the Academy awards are choosing Vanessa to honor for 2012!!!!!!! :D We'll definitely have to watch then. :)
