I sent one photo, LOR & SAE. - I was surprised to get something back since I didn't have any Aust. stamps

Congrats! I got her too. Unfortunately, the picture I printed looked like total rubbish lol, printer stuffed up.

Same here. But it wasn't too bad. I started putting my printed pictures in 4x6 cellophane before sending them off so I recieve them in much better condition. Printing out the pictures are fine, but the ink rubs off by the time it gets back to me without the cellophane

I used to find that too. What I do is wait 48 hours to before touching it again. That usually does the trick

I tend to never print out my pictures 48 hours prior to writing & sending off a letter. I always leave that for last. Not sure why. =P But you should def try the cellophane. You can buy like 100+ for $2-3 on Ebay, and you wouldn't have to wait 48 hours =)
