Bea Arthur - Must Read - Unbelievable Story

Unread post by mjdgop2012 »

Long story...I'll make it as short as possible.

I've loved The Golden Girls since I was one year old...honest to God! My first success in my collecting "career" was the lovely Ms. Betty White. I got Rue McClanahan shortly after her death (I had sent it over six months before she got ill, though, so I believe it is real). Estelle Getty passed before I started collecting. Therefore, I was missing the stunningly talented Bea Arthur.

I logged into my eBay account after a year to look for her autograph. I found a photo of her with the rest of the cast that came with COA and the bid was at $15.00. I waited until last second to enter my bid and, to summarize, I lost. I would have won, but I waited too long and it didn't take my bid; I was one second too late!

I was depressed for about an hour. I looked for another one: I wanted Bea Arthur more than anyone else. Anyway, all of the other Bea Arthur autographs on eBay were hundreds of dollars and I was not going to pay that. After a while, I came across a signed photo of her and the bid was at $10.00. The catch? It was already dedicated to someone else. I opened up the page nonetheless and it was personalized to MICHAEL; MY NAME! I was absolutely stunned! I did not hesitate and hit "BID" and this time, I won!

I am still in disbelief; The hunt for my most wanted autograph has ended! Three out of four Golden Girls ain't bad and this is, perhaps, my most prized autograph!

That's awesome. I am a huge Bea Arthur fan! :) I luckily got her autograph TTM years ago before she passed. May she R.I.P.
I appreciate and welcome comments on the authenticity of autographs I have received. Thank you! Sincerely, gghi18 8)
