It's posted marked California.. And it doesn't have a Royal Mail sticker so it's definitely not the London address, haha.

I would hope that would be very obvious based on the two signatures being identical.

Congrats!

And just so you guys know I clarifed with a mod the other day forum rules, you aren't suppose to comment on if it's real unless the orginal poster asks you to comment. It's a rule that isn't well enforced anymore, but it is there.

funniest thing i have read this decade. seriously... public forum, opinions allowed, and if you post something not real someone will point it out as otherwise inexperienced people may send a request and waste money to get a fake.

but then again, you just congratulated someone on wasting money to get an autopen, so i don't know why your comment should surprise me.

It's a forum rule, you aren't suppose to comment on if an autograph is real unless the poster asks for comments on if it's real. I clarified with a mod the other day if that was still the rule. It is the rule, but it's hard to enforce. The admin doesn't do much anymore, about it, and mods don't have much power but it has always been the rule. I asked about it on another post and a mod said that the rules have not changed, if the person doesn't ask then don't say anything, but basically the forum has gone so crazy that nobody enforces anything anymore.

And by the way, if person gets a response back it is considered a success, and even if it's not what I would want or try for, if might be a success to them so if they are happy I say congrats.

I don't recall any such rule being in place, and I have been here since 2005, much longer than the majority of the random selection of mods and trainee mods who got appointed left right and centre despite having no experience or knowledge. Of course, previously there was less need for posts saying "fake" as FM didn't have a pile of members who join just to post fakes.

But once again, no sensible member will allow fakes to be posted, be it deliberate or unwitting. What's the point in being part of a forum if you don't want to know if it's real or not. If it is, we'll love it, if it's fake, then surely you would want to know. If you did it on purpose, then you deserve to be caught out.

I noted one "mod" claiming this was a rule, but then again one I have much more respect for sees no issue with it. If you don't want opinions, don't post on the net.
