Framing an signed Poster

Unread post by TheManInWhite »

Hi, I have got a signed 27"x40" 'The Hobbit' poster and I would love to frame it and hang it on my wall. Now, I don't rereally know how big the frame has to be since I would like to matte it...could you please make some recommendations on good frames?
Thank you very much!

I would go to a place that does custom framing and they will tell you everything you need to know. I just do a simple black frame most of the time, sometimes matted and sometimes not. If you think the framed poster will be in the sunlight you will need UV glass. It's more expensive but it will stop the picture and signature from fading and basically making it black and white and the signature will disappear. If it's not going to be in the sun then you don't need it.
