Should I resend?

Unread post by Uranus15 »

I sent in late february/early march letters to david tennant and john hurt via talent agency and to peter capaldi via venue adress. I still haven't receveid anything back. I mention that I don't live in UK. Should I try again or wait more?

I would wait a little longer. How much longer is that address valid for ? Also, how did you get stamps from the UK ? I am trying to get them from the royalonline site and I am struggling find the right stamps. They wont send anything to the USA for me.

I used an IRC because the photo and the envelope wasn't too big. Also, it seems that the agency adress is still valid. Some of the actors might be filming and it might be faster if I would send to the venue adress, but there is no guarantee that you will get that photo back. Also, I am from Romania so it doesn't cost too much for the shipping. I included the international reply coupon inside all letters.

If I was you I would wait too.. seems he takes one (average) to two month to return . He could be busy working or on vacation... never know what is going on in his life... Good luck...

It will take a longer time to arrive also because of the large volume of postage sent during the holidays. But I will wait a little bit longer... However, thanks for the replies. Also, if your country is a member of the UPU (Universal Postal Union) you should be able to find or request IRCs at your postal office. I personally don't know if I sent enough IRCs however. I included one in each envelope because I was told that would be enough. It seems like other people send even 2-3 coupons. I guess that the distance matters.

It's mandatory for a member of the UPU to accept IRC s for exchange, not to sell them.

You shouldn't be thinking cof re-sending so early, fan mail can take as long as years to come back, and two actors on your list are very very popular.

Good luck!

Received today my photos signed by John Hurt. I guess the other letters should arrive soon. I will post a feedback later.
