What is your SASE method? (Envelopes of choice)

Hi all, I'm thinking about collecting again and one of my biggest worries is will my letter and photos arrive in one piece. Especially when sending stuff over seas. I work with a lot of foreign bands at my job and their promos, and review copies are almost always sticking out, with the package banged up pretty badly.

So for SASE, what I was going to do was send them in a plastic poly mailer, with a rigid photo mailer as the return envelope. Is that a good idea? Or does anyone have any better methods or tips?

If sending from US to Europe is what you mean by overseas, I have a 5x7 photo with a thin piece of cardboard and a sheet protector cut to fit, with a slightly larger 7x9 envelope as my SASE. That gets mailed in an 8x10 envelope to the person. I've enclosed a few US dollars for them to cover postage.
