Sending letters for Ebay Chartity

I was going to be using the letter format that was posted on the boards to start get money for the VH1’s Save the Music foundation since I am a musican myself. Though my question is how would you change this paragraph for an ebay auction charity drive.

It is for this reason that I, and a small support group of fellow well-wishers have pledged to help raise much needed funds for the continuing assistance needed. To this end we are arranging a large “family orientated” fund raising event in September of this year, part of which will involve presentation of prizes for winners.
