Saving Britney

Unread post by indigo15 »

I know a lot of people don't sympathize, but I feel bad for Britney Spears. Remember just ten years ago, how promising she was, and how bright her future seemed? I think that she gained superstardom so early in life, and the pressure and scrutiny associated with being a worldwide pop star has causes her to become the impulsive, unpredictable young woman we see today.

People don't realize what life in the spotlight is like. I don't think any of us do, unless there are any celebrities on this forum. People say, if they couldn't handle the pressure then they should never have become a singer. But when Britney was a little girl, all she knew was that she wanted to be on stage, performing for people. She didn't think, "hey, I'm gonna be in all the tabloids, and I'm gonna cause controversy, and I want to have a thousand paparazzi follow me wherever I go.

If she is bipolar, as many now suspect, then it explains most, if not all, of her bizarre behavior over the past few years. I think that what Britney needs, more than anything, is to get away from the paparazzi and Los Angeles, and go into hiding. Get the treatment she needs. Rebuild the shattered relationships with her family. Dump the losers and users and enablers in her inner circle. That's just a start.

What are your opinions on how to save Britney? I'd like to know.

I agree. People just need to cut her a break. Who knows maybe they'll react the same way she is if they were in her shoes. They don't know. I think we just need to give Britney a little bit of privacy and some time to get her mind straight and figure out all her problems. If we give her a few months or a year or two of piece who knows she might become the girl people loved before. I mean I don't really know her because by the time I really got to hear about her she was already messed up. I mean I don't sympathize but I wonder if taking a few months off would help her

Yeah I know. I was so IN LOVE with her 10 years ago and now I don't even know the person she has become. A few days ago, I was on YouTube & I saw a commercial she did for Pepsi a few years ago and she looked so beautiful and I was thinking "Wow. Look how she was just 5 years ago! Look at her now..." and I think the thing that makes her like this is the media. She's really brave just being nice and all to those rude paparazzi and I don't think she can take it any longer. I think the paparazzi should just give her some time. I mean, seriously, stop making her feel so miserable.

I wish the paparazzi and media would just back off. It has to be difficult to have people following you everywhere, I know I couldn't keep my composure and act normal all of the time if I was in her situation. I hope she can get away from the lime light, and is able to straighten her life out. Now Jamie Lynn seems to be getting a lot of negative attention, that she doesn't deserve. I hope the media doesn't screw up her life too.

I can't sympathize, sorry. No matter how rough times are, if you have a good head on you, you won't get involved in silly antics. She's an attention seeker, if she didn't want the papps following her every move she wouldn't hold her child hostage or go out and dye her hair a shocking (not to mention disgusting) red, just to get in the papers.

I've said it since she came out with 'hit me baby...', she's not the definition of talented. Talented is having a great and versatile voice first of all, like Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera...Britney sells on sex appeal, not that there's anything appealing about her video to 'gimme more' - its pure trash and shows what little respect she has for herself. Big up to people like Alicia Keys for representing the integrity and talent of females in music! {thumb2}
AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL.

I was never her biggest fan so...I'm finding it hard to sympathise. No-one MADE her get so into the public eye. Not all celebrities need to be in the public eye so much, and it doesn't make them any less famous. Its just greed and probably a certain degree of naivity really. You've got to think of the consequences of what you do, and that doesn't seem to have ever ocurred to her.

The fact is, she created the media attention around her - and now shes got to live with it. I just feel sorry for the kids, cos they really didn't ask for any of it.
