A few questions...?

Unread post by Midna101 »

Ok, I knows these aren't the most important questions, and you could spend your time doing things that are much more productive, but I just wanted to ask:

1. Should I send a typed letter (for easier reading) or a handwritten letter (to make it more sincere)? If I DO send a typed letter, I will sign it.

2. What is a good length for the letter I send? I don't want it to be too long.

3. What is the usual time frame for them to respond?

Welcome to the forum :mrgreen:
First you should know that 80 % of the time, the celebrity doesn't read your letter, so no need to be too long, I write a page of A5 (About half a page of A4). My advise is never type it up, unless it is for charity, as their sectrial will think you are a dealer/ spammer, who uses templete and just changes the name of the celebrity you are sending to.
Reply time could be checked by looking at previous feedbacks.
If you have any questions, feel free to pm me!
Happy collecting,
jason ;-)

1 I allways write with my own hand, it just makes you seem more like a fan if it is hand written, this shows you have time to write to your celeb and im sure they'd appreciate it, or if a secretary reads it, they know you are a genuine fan!

2 98% of my letters are between 2/3rds of a page, or 1 page. I think that that is a good amount for you to explain why you are a fan, request etc. Anyway most celebs, as Jason said wont read your letter, but you never know if they might! A long letter may not be read by the celeb or secratary, very well as it is long, and they may get your request wrong etc.

3 The time of a response varies, depending on who you write to, where they are and where you are etc. Most of my letters are to my favourite football players, i live in new Zealand, and the usual time frame for me is around 6 weeks for a reply. My quickest has been 2 weeks!!! Waiting for the auto is part of the fun! You never know when it'l show up and its very exciting when it comes!! I jump for joy for ages and cant wait to tell my friends!!!

Good luck for your collecting, i hope i was of good assistance!! {thumb2}

1. If you handwriting is a state, type it, and sign it.
2. I send A5, and use big handwriting (if you handwrite), the celebrity probably never reads it.
3. My quickest has been about a week, but I've seen a success thats taken more than 4 years.

Hope I helped
