Hey, first time posting on the board and I had a couple of questions to ask about writing my favorite stars.
First question is how much postage should I attach to my SASE? I currently have one forever stamp and one 41 cent stamp attached to the SASE I am planning on sending, but I was wondering if that would be enough because I have read to send both 80 cents and 97 cents on my SASE.
Second, does anyone know what happens if the postage you supply is not enough to cover sending the SASE?
Finally, what is the best sized envelope to send my request away in? I'm planning on folding my SASE and letter and sending them in a standard letter sized envelope. I'm probably worrying too much but I just keep on thinking that it might get lost since it’s not as large as a 9x12 envelope with all the other requests or does anyone else send there’s out in a standard envelope?
Thanks and sorry for the questions, any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Couple of newbie questions!
#1) anywhere from 91 - 97 cents on your 9x12 sase is enough.
#2) Recently that happened to me. I received an old request that had two 39 cent stamps on the 9x12 sase. The mailman delivered it but left a small brown envelope indicating I owed 13 cents.
#3) I always put a 9x12 sase with a letter of request,fold it and mail it out in a #10 envelope which is approx. 41/4 x 91/2.

Re: Couple of newbie questions!
Thank you! I think I will end up adding another stamp to my SASEs just to be on the safe side and then sending everything out in a 9x12 envelope.

Re: Couple of newbie questions!
another question, this one is probably obvious but i just wanted to make sure. On my SASE, i'm not supposed to fill in the return address already, just my own address correct?? I sent out some requests that had my address but I left the return address area blank. Is that what your supposed to do?

Hello bennyb98!
Yes, you're supposed to not fill in a return address on your SASE, as you want the autograph to come back to you no matter what! {thumb2}
Good luck,
Lizanne
