why is this autograph so much

Unread post by miley cyrus fan »

hey im a huge selena gomez fan as you guys all know (just look at my signature) ,and i got her auto ttm, and when i recieved it i was just super happy, and it is my favirote ttm succes even thou i treasure all my autos. anyway im just looking around on ebay. and this seller is selling one of her autos for over a hundred dollars, (heres the link http://cgi.ebay.ca/SELENA-GOMEZ-SIGNED- ... 18Q2el1247) im wondering if their is actualy anything really special about this picture, that makes it worth so much ,or this guy just a huge rip off artist, because dont get me wrong as much as i love selena, the only time a auto should go for more than a hundred bucks is if its on a special item ,jersey ,script, in a frame with a game used memrobilla etc, or if the person has passed away. not just if its a standard pic , dont get me wrong i love selena but i would never pay that price for her auto , i wouldnt pay that price for any auto unless like i said it was a special item that was signed.

It seems like the person got it in-person so she's also probably charging for the time and the things she had to get through to get her signature and since Selena is big right now, it's worth something, but not THAT much.

People can ask for an autograph what they want. It doesn't mean it's worth that much though, and chances are, they will never get that much for it either.

Like others have said, its not how much its worth, its how much someone would pay for it. I would never buy a autograph off eBay honestly.

ya you guys all make good points, thanks, im not looking to buy it buy it because i already got 3 of her autos and a qusteionaire filled out from her. and a hundred and one dollars starting bid plus shipping is way to much for something that you can get for 93 cents ttm.

There's a picture on the site of Selena where she's signing the photo.

It's a huge rip off, I wouldn't buy it if I were you. If you want a signed script, you could ask her if you could have one because you admire her, or whatever you think, and she could send you one. It's worth a try, but you shouldn't be disappointed if you don't get one back.
EDIT: If you do get something back, that you requested, not just a photo, then I don't think you should tell anyone about it, I'm sure Selena wouldn't mind signing one script, but she probably wouldn't want to sign a fair few.

Cheers

No, theres a picture of her signing A photo. There is nothing to link the photo and the auto being sold.

Not saying its fake, but there is no "proof" as is being claimed.

Right.. thats how forgers lure people, they obtain one photo of a celebrity signing SOMETHING and post it on all their listings and people actually believe it.. they also use other various techniques.. if it's too cheap, people think "Omg I have to get this it's a steal!" When in fact it's fake, or the autograph is SO expensive they think "No one would sell a fake for that high it must be real"

buying autographs is soooo risky and you gotta know your stuff............. sadly the saying "If it is too good to be true, it probably isn't" almost always comes into play when buying autographs especially on a non-uacc dealer website (Even though being said, UACC dealers are not a 100% shot in getting an authentic autograph)
