I emailed NM Film Office. They replied stating that there wasn't any film by the name of The Hard "Rule" shooting in NM.

I emailed them back and pointed out the name. I asked them if they would forward or if they could tell me when it started shooting so I could know when to send my request. I asked if the other address I had was the one I should send to. And this was their response just this morning:

"We can not discuss films that are not announced. Our website http://www.nmfilm.com will have a list of all the movies currently in production. "the Hard Ride' is not listed on our website.

FYI IMDB also said that "There will be blood" was shot in NM, and it defiantly was not. That is not to say that the Hard Ride is not going to film in NM.

If you want to take that chance and send fan mail, I will hold on to it for a month or two, I can not guarantee that Val Kilmer will receive it.

Well . . . that doesn't sound too encouraging, OR helpful for that matter. They won't tell me anything. I sent him a link to the page for Talmarc Productions, the production company that is shooting the film in "NM" according to the guy that wrote it, is directing it, and starring in it, as well as the one that runs Talmarc Productions.

I guess my next step would be to contact Talmarc Productions. Maybe they'll be nice enough to actually tell me something. I'm a little surprised that he latched on to my link to IMDb and tried to discredit it. I notice he said nothing about Talmarc Productions that clearly stated they are shooting in NM. They are the ones filming it so I would think they know what they are doing---unless there has been some major change of plans and they haven't bothered to tell anyone.

I'm considering waiting until the next Val Kilmer film. Maybe then I can get some answers that are certain one way or the other. The only other thing I can do is wait until I see it show up on the NM web site and then send to the Ranch address. And then cross my fingers.
